PLOT
In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren come out of a self-imposed sabbatical to travel to Enfield, a borough in north London. There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother of four who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next targets of the malicious spirit.

While The Conjuring 2 isn't as innovative a horror film throwback as its predecessor, it's an excellent ghost story in its own right. Full review

With plenty of scares per square inch, this is a worthy follow-up to the original. Full review

OVERVIEW
I have loved horror for as long as I can remember. I watched them all from The Orphan to Case 39 to Child's play. Back then, these movies scared the hell out of me but overtime I became resistant to them. Until I watched the first Conjuring back in 2013.

I think Hollywood horror filmmakers have realized that horror movies don't scary their viewers like they used to, so they went on to make films which reenact true horrific events which took place a long time ago. I believe that this method they've adapted is very effective. There are some movies that aren't so scary as it is but when you realize that it's based on a true story, you start to believe that there is nothing stopping whatsoever it is happening in the movie from happening to you. WTF!
Conjuring 2 made use of this method and ended up frightening many of its viewers. Why is it that most scary movies make use of the most harmless things to torture an entire family. Such as; a little girl, an elderly person, a nun or even a doll. This movie had them all (well except the doll, that is just messed up).

Conjuring 2 was one of the most anticipated movies this year and it sure didn't disappoint.
