PLOT

The human race stands on the brink of extinction as a series of alien attacks decimate the planet, causing earthquakes, tsunamis and disease. Separated from her family, Ohio teenager Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz) will do whatever it takes to reunite with her brother Sam. Fate leads her to form an alliance with Evan Walker (Alex Roe), a mysterious young man who may be her last hope. OVERVIEW

This movie had a seriously poor reception even though the concept is similar to many successful movie like The hunger games, Independence day and many more. Personally I enjoyed the movie but I wouldn't still give it a high rating.

This is because the movie started out well but lost its initial purpose later on. The 5th wave was for the 'others' to take human form and kill every remaining human on the earth. One of the aliens took the form of a general and recruited hundreds or even thousands of children into one base, and then began training them for war against the humans. Why not just blow up the entire area where they were kept so they would just be left with a few surviving adults elsewhere. As the have successfully turned the children into soldiers, what is stopping the children from finding out the truth of who the 'others' truly are and killing them instead.

Funfact: Tobey Maguire, the first ever spiderman, was one the producers of this film 🙌🏾🙌🏾

PLOT

The turtles face a new challenge when Shredder escapes from custody and joins forces with Baxter Stockman, a mad scientist who plans to use a serum to take over the world. Along for the ride are Bebop and Rocksteady, two dimwitted henchmen who provide plenty of muscle. Luckily, the turtles have their own allies in April O'Neil, Vernon Fenwick and Casey Jones, a hockey-masked vigilante. As the pizza-loving heroes prepare for battle, the notorious Krang also emerges to pose an even greater threat.

OVERVIEW

The Ninja turtle franchise was a huge hit as a cartoon but I don't think a movie was needed especially not one which went on for over 2 hours. I had to watch the movie in 2 days because there's no way I'm sitting through 2 hours of turtles complaining about not being accepted by humans.

I mean who do the producers think their viewers are; the kids who enjoyed the show back in their pre-teenage years or the current children who would rather be watching Adventure time or amazing world of gumball 😩😩. After their poor reception from the prequel, nickelodeon went on to make another now including, Casey Jones played by Stephen Amell (that dead guy from arrow that cannot act for shit), Baxter stockman played by Tyler Perry (Madea), the ever sexy Megan fox (oh my god, I'm crushing on a 30 year old woman) and that slime covered pink brain looking thing. Fun fact: Tyler Perry's role was to play a mad scientist but he acted more like a nerd who just got a new calculator and couldn't wait to use it.....TF😒😒.

The movie was not bad though.

Anyway, down to their flaws;

-  Mikey (the orange one) always complained about humans not accepting them.....well of course we won't. How the hell do they want to be walking amongst humans, they are freaking animals. Imagine going into a restaurant to eat after a long day at work and then a waiter comes by to serve you and then you look up to see an 8 foot green scaly creature in a tux ready to take your order.

Or being in an enclosed space like an elevator with those SEWER creatures (I'm pretty sure they don't make use of a soap) or if their rat father is in a supermarket, is that going to be a health code violation. People are afraid of the normal sized rats, we are not ready for radiated ones.

- When the bus transporting Shredder was ambushed and Casey Jones got knocked out, why didn't the other 2 fugitives just finish the job by killing him or at least take him hostage so there would be no witnesses😕. Or even when they successfully escaped they could have travelled to another country, did they think that the police wouldn't look for them.

-When the turtles met Krang, (who by the way is a living floating brain) they were fighting his robot body instead of he who is controlling it. If they all targeted the floating brain, it would have been a quick fight.

And what happened to Shredder, is he gone forever or....

PLOT

OVERVIEW

From now on, I care less about the ratings or whatever the critics say about a movie because they were dead wrong for suicide squad (Lol…I just realized this is also a review site, you can go ahead and neglect other ones, not mine please 😁😁) well this is a review site. I actually watched this movie a bit late because, you know school and stuff, but when I did, it was worth it. Suicide squad comprises of the world’s worst criminals (according to DC) assembled by Amanda Waller intended to match the strength of other extra-terrestrial beings like Superman.

If you enjoyed Marvel’s Deadpool which was released earlier this year, then you would also appreciate Suicide squad. It’s the same character concept really, Deadpool is a super powered guy (not hero), who fights for his benefits only, he’s not one to save people he doesn’t know. The Suicide Squad also fought together as a group under the control of Amanda Waller because she had a bomb implanted in their heads which she would detonate if they didn’t cooperate. I was afraid that this movie wasn’t going to be nice because Will Smith, as much as I like him, acts shit in movies with no comedic relief *coughs* “After Earth” 😩😩. But to my surprise he had some funny lines in the movie. This is my personal best, “Oh, so you deaf”, “You one of them deaf hoes”

But as good as movies are, they can’t be perfect, so here are the flaws 😁😁.

-Remember when I said that the squad was assembled to fight off extra-terrestrial beings like superman, I would really love to see how they would do that. The team is 80% made up of normal human beings meanwhile superman is a god. Is he going to be defeated from a whack on the head by Harley quinn’s bat or by Captain Boomerang’s boomerang (freaking stupid and useless ability by the way) or Deadshot’s bullets (except maybe they are kryptonite ones)? Even if they are, a Kryptonian is still faster than a speeding bullet.

-When Enchantress was destroying the earth where was the dark knight of Gotham city, was he afraid because he wasn’t going to fighting his normal non super-powered Joker or Bane. Forget about batman, where was the rest of the Justice league; Wonder woman, The Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman.

-Joker was just a complete psychopath in the movie, that isn’t the joker we all know and love. I know Joker is normally insane but it like his mental illness was on cocaine in this movie (it was actually kind of scary)😕😕😕

Can you honestly tell me these are not scary?
